The process of development of healthy public policy in integrated network
the experience of Maringá-PR

The health cities happened trough a series of global events, being a philosophy that strengthens the implementation of actions in health promotion. In 2003 the Network of Potentially Healthy Municipalities (NPHM) was created, which Maringá represents Paraná since 2005. The aim of the study was to describe the development of strategies for the implementation of NPHM in Maringá and their influences in planning and management from the perspective of health promotion. We searched documents produced after the accession of Maringá in NPHM. It was observed that were created projects and actions that aim to assist in planning and management services in the context of health promotion, encouraging healthy living and producing health. It demonstrates the collective effort and development of an administration articulated and integrated, producing policies through triangulation between public administration, universities and community. It was concluded that one of the ways to build healthy public policy is through the movement of network.
