Introduction of returnable packaging logistics flowers and pot plants

Abstract

This case study talks about the logistics of flowers in returnable packaging (trays) in the region of Holambra. Will commented on the domestic market, its peculiarities and importance of the segment for agribusiness in Brazil. It is then verified the strategic role of logistical materials (packaging), the links that connect suppliers and wholesalers of the product sold. The focus of the study is to present the project feasibility and financial gains with the deployment and use of returnable packaging (trays) in the transport of flowers and plants and their efficiency in logistics operations through the standardization of quantities of pots per pack, keeping the product quality to the end consumer.
