The implementation of the Management Workstation (GPT) in an electro-electronics company as a tool for defining improvements in the productive process

Abstract

O presente artigo pretende verificar se com a aplicação da metodologia do GPT – Gestão do Posto de Trabalho é possível identificar onde estão as ineficiências dos processos para que a empresa consiga centralizar as atividades de melhorias. O artigo utiliza a abordagem do GPT e após a apresentação do referencial teórico e das principais características das teorias que estão envolvidas, o STP – Sistema Toyota de Produção e a TOC – Teoria das Restrições é mostrada onde seriam necessários os esforços para a aplicação de melhorias. As conclusões do artigo mostra que é possível com a metodologia identificar nos processos da empresa quais são as ineficiências e com isso propor quais seriam as melhores opções de melhorias a serem implementadas.This article seeks to verify that the application of the methodology of GPT - Management Workstation can identify where are the inefficiencies of processes for which the company can centralize the improvement activities. The article uses the approach of GPT and after the presentation of the theoretical and the main features of the theories that are involved, TPS - Toyota Production System and TOC - Theory of Constraints is shown where it would take efforts to implement improvements. The conclusions of the article shows what is possible with the methodology to identify the business processes which are the inefficiencies and thereby suggest what the best options for improvements to be implemented.
