Social Network as a Tool of Healthy Urban Development

The Experience of Conchal - São Paulo

Abstract

This paper analyzes the inclusion of Conchal, a city located in the Potentially Healthy Municipalities Network (RMPS). The RMPS is an example of collective organization of movement intra and inter space based in the premises of Ottawa’s Charter (Ottawa, 1986) exercising the "Health Promotion" with the focus on empowerment and governance from the social participation and intersectoral established as an important guideline of the National Policy of Health Promotion in Brazil. It is based on these possibilities, that the RMPS presents itself and inserts in this municipality for the construction of Healthy Public Policy, social participation, intersectoral and processing of the Healthy Urban.
