Maintenance and Fitness for a Natural Protected Areas can Lead a Healthy Urban Spaces

The Configuration of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, 2010

Abstract

In the metropolitan region of São Paulo, several areas were legally created with the purpose, in a first assessment, to provide better environmental quality. These areas are arranged geographically carved to the urban environment. The evaluation that it is done here, is to check if the way these areas are spatially disposed, as well as the how they have been created and how they are managed, allow them to fulfill their role.
