The use of the internet as a tool for process of healthy mobility development, Jaguariuna, SP - Brazil.

Introduction: The rapid urbanization brings as a consequence unplanned spaces that reduce the quality of life, also affecting mobility. A possible change of bias is the healthy and sustainable transport, which enables mobility without polluting, respecting the dynamics of the city. Objective: To report the use of internet technology as a tool to identify the means of transport of students / staff from the Faculties Jaguariúna and Max Planck, SP - Br and initiatives for healthy and sustainable transport in Brazil available online in the year 2013. Methodology: The internet was used as a tool for the development of two strategies, the first mapped the forms of movement of students and staff in the Colleges involved, and the second that identified initiatives of healthy and sustainable transport in the national territory. Results: In one strategy we found that the instrument used (online questionnaire) enabled us to identify the means of transport used, the car. As the initiatives we identified that the Brazilian region with the highest number of reported initiatives is southeast. Conclusion: This article demonstrates how the internet tool can contribute to the mobility and accessibility, for it is necessary that their potentials are rethought, re-purposed and implemented according to local specificities.
