Abstract

Historically, the development models adopted hegemony in the world was not efficient with regard to the promotion of social equality and environmental preservation. At the end of the 1980s, however, a proposal for change, Sustainable Development, which has an important practical handbook, Agenda 21, a document produced during the UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 . This paper presents details of the implementation of Agenda 21 of the School ETE Martinho Di Ciero in the city of Itu, São Paulo, and the immediate results obtained, as the creation of a Student Society, the implementation of selective collect in the School and approximation of relations between students, teachers, staff and direction.
