Place Reframing Identity of Children and Adolescents

Abstract

The aim of this study was to reflect on the peculiarities of institutionalization and consequences for identity formation of children and adolescents. The method used to achieve the proposed objectives was to use the institution of Incentives for Children and Adolescents (ICA) of participant observation in three meetings with about forty young people, aged 10 to 15 years. The Company is focused on children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability and aims to develop awareness of reality and its potential by improving moral, ethical and citizenship, enabling the training of young people, creating space for expression and artistic production. The results show that the institution is seen by young people in a positive way. The institution offers a space for your teen develop their social roles, contributing to the formation of the identity of these individuals.
