Urban Sprawl in the “Campinas-Mogi” Axis

Abstract

This article analyzed the urbanization process that falls within the territory of the region of Campinas, but specifically the "Campinas-Mogi Axis", between the cities of Campinas and Mogi Guaçu. It was investigated a relation between the public and private investments not territorial cut and a relation with the phenomena of urban sprawl. It was also sought to understand the current results of the urbanization process studied. For this, it relies on the literature review and field surveys, presenting a theory and an application of what has been investigated. In this process, some maps and graphs have been made and will also appear as a result of the survey. In general, it was observed, as already assumed, that the investments made in the territory on display accentuate the urban sprawl process, with the consent and sometimes - incentive of the public power.
