Abstract

The canine parvovirus and canine distemper are endemic diseases, are viruses distributed worldwide in the canine population and they cause several outbreaks, especially in places with a high concentration of animals. The knowledge about these diseases, from their causative agent and its symptomatology to its treatment and prevention, are of extreme importance in the clinical routine, since they have high mortality rates and, knowing their prevalence, it is possible to carry out control strategies, such as vaccination. This article will expose the incidence of cases of canine parvovirus and canine distemper in the small animals clinical routine of the Jaguariuna College - Teaching Veterinary Hospital.
