Abstract

The romanticism - here seen according to Michael Löwy, as a rejection to the current capitalism, as well as the criticism to the industrial civilization - makes that the characters of the chain gets close to the other foreign elements of this sphere. In that particular case of Walter Benjamin, his addiction is intrinsically related to the characteristics of theological content, especially on what we understand as Jewish messianism, a religious conception marked by the union of two important dimensions: the restoratives dimension and the utopic dimension. In view of this, we will investigate how the thinkers articulate these elements in yours works, especially those where it is reflected the interruption of Messiah of the history continuum, through what he defines as the divine power.
