Analyses of the nutritional assessment of participants assisted in the “Melhor em Casa” program with the use of enteral nutrition industrialized

The objective of this study was to show through studies, and analysis of records, the evolutionary response of clinical patients in critical health conditions, wich are undergoing enteral nutritional exclusive therapy. Through descriptive research, it was possible to demonstrate the efficiency industrialized enteral nutritional therapy, all the way that ensure quality of life conditions, food security, metabolic maintenance, energy supply adequacy, ideal nutritional status recovery and consequently mortality reduction by malnutrition. This Project also intended to high light the importance of implement the “Melhor em Casa” Brazilian program, that diagnose, by the skilled professional assessment evaluation, the needed of intervention required, and the program is very important in the treatment. In the analysis of records was compared information, as BMI and skinfolds from the last two physical assessments of patients treated for the program “Melhor em Casa”, totaling a survey of 15 medical records, and the results showed a high nutritional impairment due to hypercatabolism from the individual diseases of each participant. Thus, we should not give the results only of enteral nutrition. So we conclude, that health home care programs, are part of a fundamental strategy to ensure the quality of life of patients by targeting specific care that are necessary throughout complexity of a pathology.
