Abstract

Aquatic activities for babies are an excellent tool for the best development of the child. Infant swimming it’s self is the first and most effective instrument for applying physical education to human beings. Aquatic activity provides babies with physical, organic, social, therapeutic and recreational benefits, improves adaptation in water, in addition to improving motor coordination, notions of space and time, and great influence on psychological and neurological development The self-rescue in the liquid environment, in addition to having beneficial factors in the cardiorespiratory and muscle resistance. Thus this study seeks to bring through a revision of literature the importance of aquatic activity for infants from the six months of life, with the basis of the importance of the adaptation of the baby to the liquid environment for its self-rescue and the influence of the same on the desired Development of the cognitive, affective aspects and engines that the liquid medium provides.
