RESISTIVE EXERCISES FOR OLDERS ADULTS

Muscle strength is considered an extremely important component in the sports training program. The present study had as objective a bibliographical review regarding the exercise with weight for elderly people, 20 articles were evaluated, where the same compose a table formed by (training method, intensity control, strength, functionality). According to the revised articles, we can conclude that strength training is capable of generating a significant increase in strength and functionality in the elderly regardless of age.
