Abstract

The thermal switches used in cars have the function of turning on the radiator fan and sending messages to the vehicle panel, including the function of not letting the vehicle overheat above the working temperature to the point of causing permanent damage. This project aims to develop an automatic release test for the production of thermal switches, which only operates with the need of monitoring an operator, in turn having the advantage of production becoming faster, accurate and less error-prone compared Manual release test. The method and development for this test to become automated is through the processing of the C programming language developed and imported to the Intel Galileo Gen 2 board which detects the current passing signal of the terminals, identifies the temperature range through a Sensor and identifies the characteristic noise signal caused by the bimetal, and is also analyzed through a frequency spectrum filter. The main function is to detect if the terminals close the contact at the same instant that it reaches the range of the action temperature and the bimetal noise occurs.
