Abstract

Technology advances to the public to match customer and business requirements. According to the advance, this academic search seeks to present the technological advance of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), popularly known as "Drones" in the logistics scenario in conjunction with Engineering. Whether in agriculture, transportation for small and medium delivery, as well as inventory management, drones could promote increased reliability of logistics processes involving customer delivery, reduced logistics costs, enabling access to locations with reduced infrastructure, help in reducing the emission of pollutants and among other benefits. Through the bibliographic and scientific methodology, we seek as a result the viability of drone implementation as a tool to optimize logistics costs.
