Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program. The objective was to exemplify as main characteristics of location and implantation of the produced sets. Discussions were held on the location of popular housing; demarcation of ZEIS; and socio-spatial segregation. We used a bibliographic review to present fundamental concepts. Maps were compiled to compare theory and reality, treated from information obtained in primary data. The analyzed territory ended in the Campinas-Mogi axis, located in the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, included the cities of Mogi Mirim and Mogi Guaçu. It was pointed out that there are tools to produce well-located social housing that guarantee the right to the city, but the production of PMCMV does not cover such potentialities. Thus, the production of the program corroborates with socioeconomic and urban segregation. It was concluded that the effects produced by the ensembles reflect a predominance of interests in particular over the common interest, it is not an urban public policy and housing.
