Abstract

The school is characterized as an area of diversity, which converge various social media, bringing in their day-to-day values expressed in behavior and attitudes of people who are part of it. Similarly, the link between education, work and social practices, are prerequisite for achieving the goals of national education. The role of managers in the construction of a school quality is of fundamental importance and this work can not be just him. The company as a partner of the school should have a significant share in this process, to a collective work, can join forces and make the necessary changes. Today, more than ever, the community must be involved in school activities and the director must find procedures that promote the involvement, commitment and participation of people. It is important to evaluate the importance of the practice of democratic management and the benefits it can bring to a quality education. Participation provides significant changes in people's lives, as they will be interested and feel responsible for everything that represents the common interest. The aim of this work is to contribute to the reflection on the challenges, opportunities and benefits that is within a democratic school management.
