The use of monads in Brazil

Abstract

The objective was to analyze the term Monad in academic publications in Brazil, including its mode of use. The method employed was an exploratory heuristic scan on the portal of Capes Periodicals. It was performed in two moments: i) Monad term scan (with variations and approximations), and ii) analysis of the use of the term. The analysis featured 30 publications. Five categories emerged. The main conclusion is that the concept is not used clearly, which contributes to the perpetuation of cloudiness with respect to the term Monad.
