Abstract

Lean manufacturing is based on eliminating waste and reducing unnecessary costs due to the project to be developed, with an emphasis on value activities; in turn, quality engineering, still without a defined outline in a single system, goes through ISO standards, which have work-structures and their interactions, up to statistical methodologies of analysis such as Six Sigma. This study aims to unite the science of quality engineering with its tools for structuring processes, such as VoC, PDCA and SIPOC, and methods for setting objectives and analyzing scenarios, such as SWOT and Brainstorming; with the philosophy of lean manufacturing to develop, through resources such as 5S and VSM, a methodology adapted to the logistical context of an organization in the chemical sector in the interior of São Paulo.
