Abstract

The current study aims to present some research on the importance of modulation in structural masonry. We will discuss construction methods, materials, their advantages and disadvantages. Due to its strength and efficiency, one of the main materials used is the concrete block - which was chosen throughout the construction of a warehouse. Therefore, we will present concepts that guarantee structural safety based on civil policies and their applications. Such as, the application of aggregate materials - which must be done correctly with the monitoring of a specialized technician for a high-quality performance. We will illustrate a table for the concentration of the aggregates in the mortar with the specification of the correct features, presenting the important task of grouting - which allows the increase of the walls' strength, ensuring a safe structure of the work. We will show a wall modulation project for an understanding of how important this project is, which allows us all to avoid waste and ensure an accurate wall building. In this project, we emphasize the low-cost and the short execution time of the chosen method, which allows customer satisfaction and a quick return on the money invested. To do so, examples were used with illustrations of a real construction carried out recently.
