The guanandi is a species of Brazilian flora recognized by traditional populations for the use of leaves and bark as medicine. Currently, it is a strategic species for both medicine and the forestry sector with the production of quality wood in commercial plantations and agroforestry systems and for ecological restoration. The objective of this work was to determine the yield of herbaceous branches and bark obtained from juvenile guanandi trees cut at seven years of age in thinning in commercial planting in Lagoinha - SP. Three individuals were evaluated for biometry and production of fresh and dry matter of herbaceous branches and bark. The data were transformed to t/ha according to the thinning of 500 individuals. The guanandi contributed, on a fresh and dry basis, about 31.43 and 12.60 t/ha of herbaceous branches and 3.23 and 1.39 t/ha of bark. The use of these residues in the pharmaceutical industry can help to remunerate the producers in the management of the plantations.
