The lost valley in Serra do Mar, a successful experience of heritage education in Cubatão (Brazil)

The present work intends to approach the heritage education project called “O Vale Perdido”, which was developed in the Cubatão city [Brazil]. The research contextualizes the territory, the rapid process of industrialization from the second half of the twentieth century, defines some concepts about heritage and heritage education and the empirical processes. The space in which the project was developed, Vale do Itutinga Pilões, received teachers and students from the municipal public network in a work that required the interactive and multidisciplinary participation of the teams involved.
