Intoxication by aldicarb in dogs

Abstract

The aldicarb, that is know as “chumbinho”, is a agricultural pesticide appliance of carbamate group. Although it is indicated for sole use of agriculture, the sale has been illegally done as rodenticide. The dogs intoxication by aldicarb has frequent, and in the most of times it is intencional, due to the high lethality of the product. The objective of this paper is to introduce explanations for the dogs clinics, about the toxicocinetic, toxicodinamic, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of dogs intoxicated by aldicarb.
