PAC as a generator of quality of life and urban health: Report of Experiences in Campinas-SP

This article aims at reporting their experiences in the city of Campinas, São Paulo, near the communities of the southern region, in the surrounding area of Viracopos Airport, which have been benefited from resources of the PAC - Growth Acceleration Program, from OGU (General budget of the Union). The opportunity is also present, to emphasize the importance of the City Statute, which regulates articles 182 and 183 of the Federal Constitution of 1988, as well as the Master Plan of the municipality in ensuring the implementation and execution of the jobs. Report as PAC - Growth Acceleration Program was initiated in Campinas, the funds received OGU - General budget of the Union and its application, specifically in the works and social actions developed in the surrounding areas from Viracopos Airport. Briefly, we describe the two main focuses of the program of action, ie, Infrastructure and Social Work Forum and its objectives; SEHAB-The definition of the Municipal Housing Authority, as manager of projects, the formation of a partnership system involving most Departments in the Municipality of Campinas, and the challenges faced in the realization of multidisciplinary work. We have described the major works on the perimeter of the action of the Program, the neighborhoods compositions and the characteristics of the region, and population in the Vicinity of the Viracopos Airport. Subsequently, in order to give visibility to the project goal, as changes in the paradigm, the article presents a summary of the implementation of public policy, through application of the proceeds from the general union budget, made possible with the action of PAC in Campinas. In conclusion, this report seeks to highlight results and positive changes possible in the daily life of the communities served by the advent of the program, believing that these are the reasons that encouraged the report. These notes were placed in a series of photographs, in a description of how to report the execution of the project, will start the current phase, were enriched with the knowledge acquired in the course "Health Promotion in Urban Development".
