The education of the abilities in the idea of the professors formation

The aim of this paper is to highlight the debate about the subject matter “Pedagogy of Competences” in the contemporary education scenery which reveals the ambiguity lived by the educators between adopting or not this referential for modernizing their practices. It also presents, concisely, the view of authors who defend this theorization as support to the proposals of pedagogical innovations in schools, in consonance with the requirements set by the society in transformation. On the other hand, it deals with the presentations of authors who criticize this ideary for associating it with the picture of education reforms which seek to adjust education to the economic system through mechanisms of adaptation and cooptation spread by an innovative pedagogical speech.
