Organizations differ from live organisms once they do not have to complete a life cycle – to be born, growth, maturity, decline and death. Organizations are able to be eternal. The key of its longevity is the sustained growth. While a live being has limits to its physical and timely growth, a organization do not has the same constraints, being able to search growth forever. The durable organizations survive through their markets decline, developing potential markets or even creating new markets. Goods and services have to face a life cycle declining and eventually dying, a organization, however, is able to keep growing and therefore existing. Once the organization long term survival is a main concern of its senior management, sustained growth, key element of this concern, must also turn out to be a strategic need to be continuously implemented.
