Abstract

This article search investigates through productions of popular culture how clothing inscribes body in social, with all contradictions, political and cultural tensions inside it, with the specific objective of analyzing how the race and the imaginary of the african diaspora is activated within three distinct cultural contexts: the SAPE in the Congo, the drags dances in the Harley and the black drags competitions in the poor areas of São Paulo.
