Keywords:
Human Anatomy, Active Teaching Methodology, Computer-assisted instructionAbstract
The pedagogical methods employed in the practice of teaching Anatomy reduce the learning process to the simple memorization of Nomina Anatomica. The contemporary education requires new tools for meaningful learning, so breaking the paradigm is necessary. In this sense, active methodologies have been gaining ground in educational institutions. Objective: To report the experience from an active teaching method to the practical study of anatomy. This methodology was adopted to the students of the first semester of the Nursing and Physiotherapy courses of UNIFAJ. Problem situations were used to solve in teams. Each team received the content of the case to be worked on, questions and names of anatomical structures. After the active searches the students presented the answers and discussed the results with the teacher's mediation. Throughout the semester students demonstrated motivation in learning, higher class attendance, and the development of team spirit. In conclusion, the methodology developed in the Anatomy practical classes promoted positive results regarding the construction of knowledge, greater involvement of students with the discipline and also provided meaningful learning contextualized with professional practice.
