Abstract

This article presents an interdisciplinary study of physics and mathematics teaching, using the concepts of differential equation on the simple pendulum, through a proposal of didactic sequence. It should be emphasized that it is not enough to show the equations of governing a physical phenomenon so that learning is considered significant, but it is also necessary to associate an experimental phenomenon. In this sense, it is assumed that the students of the courses that involve these concepts are immersed in the phase of the formal operational stage, since they can go beyond concrete experiences and therefore one can observe the beginning of the formalization of abstract thought. In this sense, it is believed that the proposition of practices and studies in laboratories have significant potential for the development of concepts, and may contribute to the modeling of the system, as well as, it expands the possibility of understanding the phenomenon studied in an interdisciplinary way.
